Welcome to Orchlon International School, a community striving to build the next generation of global Mongolian leaders. Since its founding in 2001, Orchlon’s aim has always been to provide the best educational experience to Mongolian students. Our 17 year journey has resulted in building our unique dual-programme: the world renowned Cambridge CIPP, IGCSE and AS/A level continuum along with the Mongolian National Curriculum. Both provide students with values, knowledge and skills for the 21st century to successfully transition to rigorous university study and life beyond.From our humble beginnings, Orchlon School and Kindergarten Complex has expanded to represent approximately 1500 students and nearly 250 employees. Due to our long history of innovation we became the first to use Montessori within our kindergarten classrooms. We believe that an essential element of a world-class education is to create a safe and creative learning environment, we are very proud of becoming the first educational organisation in Mongolian to receive the “ISO 9001:2015” quality assurance in 2017-2018 academic year. As part of our social responsibility and community service, the school has offered 81 students full tuition scholarships and we are very proud of their achievements. During the academic year of 2014-2015, we opened a new 15,000 m2 K3-12 campus in the heart of Khan-Uul district. In the coming year of 2019-20 we will continue with this theme of innovation by opening a new STEAM High School campus designed for grades 9-12. The new high school will be the first in Mongolia to utilise innovative, creative and project-based learning curriculum and environment. Our learner profile empowers students to be more confident, responsible and innovate to take on new challenges in our increasingly complex world. Thus, “Nurturing Global Mongolian Citizens” for the ever-changing and highly technologised world, we provide both intellectual and emotional development. Our non-academic opportunities include Life Skills training, Social-Emotional Learning curriculum (SEL) and over 30 engaging co-curricular activities. In short,we place a high degree of importance on the development of the whole student. We believe it is our responsibility to offer the very best education and learning environment to our students.Within this fast society we believe education should be equal on the same pace or one step ahead. As evidence of this we are constantly improving our practice with technological advancement and digital literacy. We enforce this here at Orchlon and are aware that education is constantly changing through technology therefore we provide our students with a technological platform through the use of learning management system, enterprise resource planning, G Suite for Education, College Application system and Assessment system. Our students graduate with confidence, knowledge and skills in working with information and ideas, being reflective learners and becoming equipped with new and future challenges and being prepared for society. We are honored of having 431 graduates who have attended top-tier universities all around the world and are now working at prominent companies both locally and globally. Our faculty and staff come to us from various backgrounds including international teaching staff who are from around the world with unique teaching skills and styles. Our teachers utilise innovative teaching strategies coupled with fundamental beliefs about how students learn best to ensure they are challenged to reach their full potential. We guide our teachers to be lifelong learners by providing ongoing professional development opportunities such as Cambridge PDQ and face-to-face training in Mongolia and abroad.
